Portugal confirmed their qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after crushing Armenia 9–1 in their final UEFA Qualifier on Sunday. The hosts took control from the very start, opening the scoring in the 6th minute through Rúben Veiga before going on to deliver one of their most dominant performances of the campaign.
Armenia equalised in the 18th minute through Eduard Spertsyan, but that was the only moment they challenged Portugal’s authority.
