Piers Morgan has issued an emotional appeal to Arsenal as the club edges closer to ending a two-decade Premier League title drought. The broadcaster and lifelong Arsenal supporter said the wait has been agonising for fans who have watched their team come close but fail to seal the title in recent years.
Morgan reflected on the long period without league success, saying: “For 21, nearly 22 years, it’s been a torment exacerbated by the fact that in the last three years we’ve been the bridesmaid three times but never the bride when we should have been.” He described the near-misses as painful chapters that have only intensified supporters’ desire for glory.
He expressed renewed belief that Arsenal finally have the squad and momentum needed to go all the way. Morgan said: “Now we can taste it, now we can feel it, now we have got the wedding dress,” insisting the current campaign feels different from previous attempts.
Looking ahead, he stressed that this season represents the club’s clearest path to the title in decades. “Now we assume we have got the best chance ever to be the bride and my message to Arsenal is: Please, please, just win the league,” he urged, calling on the team to seize the moment.
Morgan concluded his message with a plea to silence critics and deliver long-awaited joy to supporters. “Just shut up all our rivals. Just give me something. Because it’s the best chance we’ve got,” he said, capturing the deep yearning felt across the Arsenal fanbase.
