Peninah Malonza Rejected As Tourism CS Nominee
National Assembly Committee on Appointments has rejected the nomination of Tourism Wildlife and Heritage Cabinet Secretary Peninah Malonza.
The Committee, however, approved the nomination of other 21 CS nominees together with Justin Muturi as the country's Attorney General and Mercy Wanjau as the Secretary to the Cabinet.
Azimio la Umoja legislators on the other hand, want the nomination of Aisha Jumwa and Mithika Linturi rejected.
Jumwa had been nominated as the head the Public Service, Gender, and Affirmative action cabinet secretary while Linturi was to head Agriculture and Livestock Development ministry.
The former Kitui Deputy Governor's fate will be decided by the members of Parliament who are expected to debate and vote on the approvals and rejections by the Committee on appointments.
