Paris Saint-Germain have qualified for the UEFA Champions League final after holding FC Bayern Munich to a draw in the second leg of their semi-final clash, sealing progression on aggregate.

The decisive encounter, played at Bayern’s home ground in Munich, saw PSG do enough to protect their first-leg advantage, with the tie ending level on the night but in their favour overall.

PSG had taken control of the semi-final in the first leg in Paris, where they secured a narrow but crucial win that ultimately proved decisive in the two-legged contest.

In the return leg, Bayern pushed aggressively from the start, seeking to overturn the deficit in front of their home supporters, but PSG remained defensively disciplined.

The French champions managed to contain Bayern’s attacking threats for large periods of the match, frustrating the German side despite sustained pressure.

PSG also created key counterattacking opportunities, ensuring Bayern could not fully commit forward without risking conceding another decisive goal.

The draw in Munich was enough to send PSG through to the final, marking another major milestone for the club in European competition.

They will now face Arsenal F.C., who secured their place in the final after eliminating Atlético Madrid in the other semi-final.

Arsenal advanced with a narrow aggregate victory, including a 1-0 win in the second leg, confirming their return to Europe’s biggest stage after several years away from the final.

The upcoming final will see PSG aiming to secure another Champions League title, while Arsenal will be chasing their first triumph in the modern era of the competition.

The match is expected to attract global attention, given both teams’ attacking quality and strong performances throughout the tournament.

PSG’s run to the final has been marked by consistent scoring form and tactical balance, making them one of the standout teams in this season’s competition.

Bayern Munich, meanwhile, exit the tournament at the semi-final stage despite a strong campaign that saw them compete at the highest level against Europe’s elite.

The Champions League final is set to be played in Budapest, where PSG and Arsenal will battle for European football’s most prestigious club trophy.

Vincent Kompany: "I don't have the ability to be disappointed for long. Of course it's bitter, in the end we lost both games against a very good opponent. We needed to be more decisive.

Congratulations to PSG. The Champions League is over for us this season, but there will be another chance - and that's a motivation for me"

Luis Enrique: "I have no intention of explaining my tactics, because you wouldn’t understand them."
