ODM Party To Pick Candidates Through Consensus
ODM deputy party leader Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has revealed that the party will pick candidates through a consensus during nominations.
Speaking during a consultative meeting with ODM aspirants in Western at Kakamega, Oparanya asked ODM delegates and aspirants to welcome the move saying, it will help consolidate the party's strength to face off with the Kenya Kwanza Coalition.
Oparanya confirmed that ODM is pushing for joint nominations for candidates under Azimio la Umoja in the region and also revealed that the party is in the process of drafting a coalition to be signed with the other parties.
Kakamega governor further asked the ODM delegates to continue registering more members into the ODM party saying, the party had set better structures to ensure the party nominations are free and fair.
Oparanya reiterated that losers in different elective posts under the Azimio la Umoja Movement will be offered positions in government both at the national and county level.
