Rio Ngumoha has won the Man of the Match award in three consecutive starts now for Liverpool.

Liverpool FC produced a composed and clinical performance to defeat Fulham FC 2–0 in a Premier League clash at Anfield on Saturday, with teenage sensation Rio Ngumoha stealing the spotlight.

The breakthrough came in the 36th minute when Ngumoha etched his name into the record books, finishing confidently to become Liverpool’s youngest Premier League scorer at Anfield. The goal capped off a lively first-half display from the teenager, who consistently troubled Fulham’s defence with his pace and composure.

Just four minutes later, Mohamed Salah doubled Liverpool’s advantage, calmly slotting home after a well-worked attacking move. The quick-fire double gave the hosts firm control of the contest heading into the break.

Fulham, however, did not go down without a fight. The visitors responded with increased intensity in the second half, creating several chances and even finding the back of the net, only for the effort to be ruled out for offside.

Despite Fulham edging Liverpool in total attempts and corners, the home side remained defensively disciplined, with their backline holding firm under pressure to preserve the clean sheet.

Ngumoha’s performance stood out as the defining feature of the match, not only for his historic goal but also for his involvement in Liverpool’s attacking build-up, including contributing to the move that led to Salah’s strike.

The result provides a timely boost for Liverpool as they look to strengthen their position in the league standings and maintain momentum in the race for European qualification.

For Fulham, the defeat underscores missed opportunities and a lack of cutting edge in front of goal, leaving them to reflect on what might have been in an otherwise competitive outing at Anfield.
