Newcastle United produced a spirited second-half comeback to defeat Manchester City 2–1 in a tightly contested Premier League clash on November 22. The match, played at St James’ Park, saw all three goals arrive within a frantic seven-minute spell, turning the encounter into a dramatic spectacle for fans.

Manchester City opened the scoring in the 68th minute through defender Rúben Dias, who capitalised on sustained pressure to place the champions in front. At that stage, City looked poised to take control, having dominated large periods of possession and attacking momentum.

However, Newcastle responded almost instantly. Harvey Barnes equalised in the 63rd minute after coming on as a substitute, firing home a well-taken finish that reignited the home crowd. His introduction provided Newcastle with renewed pace and precision in the final third.

Barnes completed the turnaround in the 70th minute, striking again to put Newcastle 2–1 ahead. The winger’s decisive impact shifted the rhythm of the match completely, leaving City chasing the game in the final stages despite multiple substitutions aimed at regaining control.

Newcastle held firm through eight minutes of added time, weathering late pressure from City to secure a crucial victory. The result leaves Manchester City 3rd on the table with 22 points, while Newcastle sit 14th with 15 points as the league heads into its next round of fixtures.
