Newcastle United have opened negotiations with RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko amid growing uncertainty over Alexander Isak’s future at the club. The Swedish international has reportedly informed the club of his intention to leave, with Liverpool emerging as strong contenders for his signature.
In anticipation of Isak’s potential exit, the Magpies have shortlisted three forwards as possible replacements. These include Sesko, who has been on the radar for his clinical finishing and physical presence; Brentford’s Yoane Wissa, valued for his Premier League experience; and Leipzig’s Lois Openda, who continues to impress in the Bundesliga.
Sesko, 21, is seen as a long-term investment, fitting Newcastle's strategy of building a young and dynamic squad. The club is expected to intensify efforts in the coming weeks as they look to secure reinforcements before the transfer window closes.
