NCPWD Partners to Enhance Digital Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities

The National Council for Persons With Disabilities (NCPWD) has announced a new partnership aimed at creating more inclusive government services for persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the country.
The initiative, dubbed "Gava Mkononi Kwa Wote," is a collaboration with UK International Development, the ICT Authority, and the Kenya Society for the Blind. Its primary goal is to ensure that all Kenyans, including PWDs, can access government services seamlessly.
According to a social media post by the council, the partners are leveraging emerging technologies, such as digital public infrastructure, to develop new accessibility guidelines and tools. The project seeks to guarantee that every citizen has access to the services they need, promoting a more equitable and accessible digital landscape.
