Napoli complete the signing of Rasmus Hojlund πππππππππππ from Manchester United
Napoli have officially confirmed the permanent signing of Rasmus Hojlund after a conditional obligation-to-buy clause in his loan agreement was triggered following the club's qualification for next season's UEFA Champions League.
The Danish striker joined Napoli on a season-long loan from Manchester United at the start of the 2025-26 campaign. Included in the deal was a mandatory purchase option that would automatically become active if Napoli secured Champions League football.
That condition was fulfilled after Napoli guaranteed a top-four finish in Serie A, ensuring their return to Europe's premier club competition and activating the permanent transfer clause.
The deal is reported to be worth approximately £38 million, bringing an end to Hojlund's time at Old Trafford after three seasons with the English club.

Hojlund leaves United having made 95 appearances and scored 26 goals, while also helping the club win the FA Cup during his time in England.
For Napoli, the move secures the long-term services of a striker entering his prime years, while Manchester United receive a significant transfer fee as they continue restructuring their squad ahead of the new season.
