Manchester City Star Sergio Aguero Sets Premier League Hat-Tricks Record, To Overtake Thierry Henry As Highest Overseas EPL Goalscorer

Manchester City’s all-tine record Goalscorer Sergio Aguero set more records tumbling at Villa Park as Pep Guardiola’s men ran riot in the Midlands. It now means the Argentine has scored the most hat-tricks in the Premier League history, surpassing Newcastle’s legend Alan Shearer.

The 31-year-old has now registered 12 hat-tricks in the EPL and will look to add to that total in the years to come. Aguero has now scored 177 goals from 255 league games to overhaul Henry’s mark of 175 with a clinical performance at Villa Park.

Aguero’s contract at city expires at the end of next season, and he indicated last May that he would be keen to return to his boyhood club Independiente in Argentina

Manchester City may be lagging behind Liverpool in the defense of their title, the back to back premier league champions are now 14 points adrift in second, but it was a ruthless 6-1 victory at Villa Park which saw the hosts drop into the relegation zone.

Algeria’s Riyad Mahrez set City on their way with a brilliant individual goal on 17 minutes, weaving past two defenders before lashing the ball into the net. Just six minutes later, Mahrez added a second when he found the ball at his feet after some messy defending from Villa.

Kevin De Bruyne was at the heart of City’s final two first half goals as he first set up Aguero and then Gabriel Jesus. Aguero unleashed a stunning strike into the top left corner before Jesus slotted home De Bruyne’s perfect pitched pass.
