Manchester United secured a commanding 4–2 victory over Brighton in an entertaining Premier League clash at Old Trafford on Saturday night.
The hosts started strongly, with Matheus Cunha opening the scoring in the 24th minute before Casemiro doubled the lead ten minutes later. Brighton tried to fight back but struggled to break through United’s organized defense in the first half.
In the second half, Brian Mbeumo extended United’s lead in the 61st minute, but Danny Welbeck pulled one back for Brighton in the 74th minute to give the visitors hope. Substitute Christos Kostoulas then made it 3–2 in stoppage time as Brighton pushed forward for an equalizer.
However, United sealed the result in dramatic fashion when Mbeumo netted his second goal in the 96th minute, restoring the two-goal cushion and capping off a brilliant performance. The victory lifts Manchester United further up the Premier League table as they continue their push for a top-four finish.
