Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo and his representatives in recent days as they explore a potential January transfer. The Ghanaian international is said to view Liverpool as his preferred next destination.

Bournemouth, however, are unwilling to negotiate a mid-season exit, leaving Semenyo’s £65 million release clause as the only clear route for a deal. Reports suggest the clause is split as £60m plus £5m in add-ons, and is only active for a limited period early in the January window. If not triggered, it is expected to drop to just above £50m in the summer.

Liverpool are keen on the forward due to his pace, strength, and versatility, seeing him as a strong fit for the squad. Other clubs, including Tottenham, are reportedly monitoring the situation, but Semenyo is understood to favor a move to Anfield.

The Merseyside club will need to act quickly if they are to secure the deal, given the narrow timeframe for activating the release clause. Bournemouth, meanwhile, are reportedly planning for potential replacements should Semenyo depart.

With the January window approaching, Semenyo’s future is set to be one of the Premier League’s key transfer storylines, with fans and clubs alike watching closely for any developments.
