Kitutu Chache North MP Decries Declining Education Standards

Kitutu Chache North legislator, Japheth Nyakundi has decried declining education standards in the area claiming it portended serious ramifications.

The MP warned that the area risked failing to raise professionals and responsible citizens in future if the current social vices were not contained.

Speaking at Mbanda during the funeral of a prisons officer, Nyakundi called for stakeholder cooperation to eradicate drug and intoxicating substances abuse and uplift the education standards.

He announced his commitment to disburse bursaries to bright needy children without discrimination to empower them  pursue formal  education .

This came as schools from the area performed dismally in last year’s KCSE with their counterparts in the county smiling to universities.

On governance,the law maker  urged  Azimo La Umoja leader, Raila Odinga to stop   harassing president William Ruto and instead give him chance to deliver on his mandate.

According to Nyakundi, Ruto was set on fixing the economy by addressing the high cost of living and high prices of essential commodities among others to enable Kenyans to earn income.

Raila was quoted as alleging that he had reservations about the legitimacy of the government of the day.
