The upcoming finals of the 2023 Kenya Golf Junior Match Play Championship at the Sigona Golf Club promise an exciting showdown between the top-seeded Mikael Kihara and Elvis Muigwa.

Kihara, who stood out in the qualifiers on day one, has maintained his momentum through the semi-finals. He triumphed over opponents like Tsevi Soni (8 and 7), Aarush Vara (7 and 6), and Kevin Anyien (4 and 3) in the quarter-finals. In the semi-finals, he composedly defeated Adnan Merali (4 and 2), despite facing challenges.

Muigwa, seeded 7th, began his journey with a 4 and 2 win over Denis Gakuo. Progressing to the quarter-finals, he exhibited resilience with a 3 and 2 victory over Muthusi Mukundi. His semi-final match against Krish Shah saw him clinch a 4 and 3 win.

Muigwa acknowledged the prowess of his semi-final opponent, noting that Krish Shah is the 2023 Kenya Junior Strokeplay champion. The finals promise an exciting battle between these two skilled young golfers.
