Kenya To Host Africa Para Volleyball Championship

Kenya will host the Africa Para Volleyball Championship for the first time, from July 1-10, 2025, at the Moi Sports Centre in Kasarani.
Kenya Para Volleyball Federation Secretary General Justus Katumo said that preparations are underway, with eight countries and twelve teams having confirmed their participation.
The national para volleyball team will report to a residential training camp in Kasarani on Friday to start final preparations.
The historic event will act as a qualifier for the 2025 World Para Volleyball Championship, which will take place in the United States in October.
According to Katumo, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, and South Africa are among the top nations anticipated to compete. He emphasized that all logistical arrangements had been made to facilitate the smooth arrival and stay of the delegations, saying, "Everything is set, and we are ready."
Kenya's teams are striving for a solid showing at home. The women's team will attempt to improve on their silver medal performance at the 2024 Africa Sitting Volleyball Championship in Lagos, Nigeria, where they placed second to Rwanda.
