Kenya Thrash Seychelles 5-0 In World Cup Qualifier

Kenya produced a commanding display at the Moi International Sports Centre on Tuesday, thrashing Seychelles 5-0 in a FIFA World Cup CAF Group F qualifier. The result gave home fans plenty to cheer about as the Harambee Stars showcased their attacking strength.
The hosts struck early through Rayan Ogam, who converted in the 7th minute after good work from Duke Abuya. Collins Sichenje added the second goal in the 35th minute, before Ogam grabbed his brace just three minutes later. Michael Olunga then stepped up to convert a penalty deep into first-half stoppage time, giving Kenya a comfortable 4-0 lead at the break.
Olunga, the team’s captain and star striker, completed the rout in the 67th minute with a composed finish after being set up by Richard Onyango. His brace capped a dominant performance and sealed a convincing victory for Kenya.
Seychelles struggled to contain the relentless Kenyan attack, committing numerous fouls and picking up bookings as they tried to disrupt the home side’s rhythm. Their resistance was broken repeatedly as Kenya pressed high and controlled the game from start to finish.
Despite the emphatic victory, Kenya’s qualification hopes have already ended. The Harambee Stars are mathematically unable to secure a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, meaning this win will go down as a statement of pride rather than progression.
