KCB RFC stormed into the Kabeberi 7s quarterfinals after an unbeaten run in the group stages at the RFUEA Grounds, Nairobi.

The defending champions launched their campaign with a massive 51–0 win over Mean Machine, followed by a convincing 31–0 triumph against Mombasa RFC. They sealed their spot in the knockouts with a 21–15 victory against Nakuru RFC, reinforcing their ambition to retain the title.

Head Coach Andrew Amonde applauded the team’s intensity and focus, stressing that their goal remains clear — winning the tournament.

“The players have given their all, showing the hunger and determination we need at this level. We’re now looking forward to the knockout stages with one clear target: to win the tournament,” said Amonde.

Captain Bob Muhati also hailed the squad’s resilience despite the absence of experienced forward George Ooro, noting that the younger players have stepped up impressively.

“We have remained compact and clinical even with Ooro missing. The boys have stepped up and shown character, and we’re confident we can finish the job,” Muhati said.

Star performer Floyd Wabwire shone with his pace and turnovers, while Samuel Asati’s return from a concussion added balance and energy to the squad.

With back-to-back Kabeberi titles already under their belt, KCB is eyeing a historic third consecutive triumph.
