KCB RFC cemented their dominance on the Kenyan rugby sevens circuit by clinching the Kabeberi 7s title for the fourth year running at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi.

The Bankers defeated Daystar Falcons 20-10 in a spirited final to complete their “four-peat,” extending an impressive run in the National Sevens Series.

On their path to glory, KCB swept past Mwamba 35-7 in the quarterfinals before edging fierce rivals Kabras Sugar 21-17 in a tense semifinal battle. Their commanding display in the final capped off a stellar weekend.

Head Coach Andrew Amonde praised the team’s resilience and consistency, saying the side is building momentum ahead of the next challenge. “Winning four in a row at Kabeberi is no small feat. We now shift focus to Dala Sevens and the rest of the circuit,” he said.

Team captain Bob Muhati, who was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament, credited the achievement to unity and composure.

“This was all about teamwork. We pushed for each other, especially against Kabras in the semis. The goal now is to keep the winning momentum heading into Dala Sevens,” he remarked.

The victory places KCB at the summit of the National Sevens Series standings. They will now prepare for the Dala Sevens in Kisumu, where they face Embu, Homeboyz, and Mwamba in Pool C.
