Jubilee NDC Convenes to Decide Future and Party Strategy

The Jubilee Party's National Delegates Convention (NDC), chaired by former President Uhuru Kenyatta, is scheduled to convene today to determine the party's future direction and its path toward forming a coalition for the upcoming electoral cycle.
The high-stakes meeting follows Kenyatta's successful reclaiming of full control of the party after a protracted internal leadership dispute.
The Jubilee Party's internal woes were triggered by a dramatic power struggle after a faction led by nominated Member of Parliament Sabina Chege and East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP Kanini Kega mounted a hostile attempt to wrest control of the party.
The move initiated a prolonged and bitter standoff within the former ruling party.
The delegates are expected to ratify key resolutions aimed at revitalizing the former ruling party's structures and giving a clear signal on its political strategy.
The agenda includes reviewing and approving the party's constitution, organs, policies, and programs as Jubilee looks to rebuild and position itself ahead of the 2027 General Election.
