Harry Kane surpassed Jimmy Greaves' record to become Tottenham's all-time leading scorer, when they beat Current Premier League title holders Manchester City 1-0 win at their home turf.

Kane capitalised on Rodri's mistake in possession on the edge of his own box and scored his 267th goal 15 minutes into the game, coming third behind Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney in Premier League top scorer’s list.

Manchester City who failed to take advantage of league leaders Arsenal's defeat at Everton on Saturday, performed below standards and did not trouble Spurs’ back line.

The defeat for City means they have now lost all five of their games at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with questions looming whether Pep is losing his grip.

Spurs were cheered on by the home crowd after taking the lead and continued to cause City problems despite the sending off of Cristian Romero who was handed a late red card.

The result means Manchester City remain five points behind Arsenal in their race for a third successive title.
