Gov't Appeals For Aid As Elgeyo Marakwet Landslide Death Toll Hits 39

The government has officially called upon leaders, organizations, and all compassionate well-wishers to join hands in raising funds for the victims of the deadly landslide that struck Elgeyo Marakwet County on November 1, 2025.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura confirmed that the tragedy's death toll has tragically risen to 39.
Furthermore, nine individuals are still reported missing, with search and rescue operations ongoing, while six other victims are currently receiving medical treatment.
A public fundraiser to support the victims' resettlement, family support, and other essential needs is scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at AIC Milimani in Nairobi, starting at 4:00 pm.
