Moment when Ulinzi stars took an early lead

Defending champions Gor Mahia were held to a 1-1 draw by Ulinzi Stars in a tightly contested FKF Premier League clash at Kasarani.

Felix Oluoch gave Gor Mahia an early lead in the 7th minute, but Ulinzi Stars equalized through Brian Muchiri in the 35th minute, ensuring both sides shared the spoils.

The result sees Gor Mahia move to 13 points from six matches, one behind league leaders Kakamega Homeboyz, who top the table with 14 points from seven games. Leopards are third on 12 points, closely followed by Posta Rangers on 12 as well.

At the other end of the table, Ulinzi Stars remain 16th with six points, level with Bandari, KCB, and Nairobi United, but separated by goal difference. Kenya Police and Bomet occupy the bottom two spots with five and four points respectively.

The draw extends Gor Mahia’s unbeaten run but raises questions about their finishing, while Ulinzi will take positives from securing a valuable away point against the record champions.
