FIFA lifts ban on FKF
The world football governing body, FIFA, has lifted Kenya's suspension from international competitions effective immediately.
Through a statement issued from FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura, a delegation comprising FIFA and CAF officials would be sent to the country to advice on the next steps.
“The Bureau of the Council decided on 25 November 2022 to lift the suspension of FKF with immediate effect,” the letter read in part.
“Upon the lifting of the suspension, a FIFA-CAF mission will be deployed to Nairobi to define the next steps to the FKF and also meet with the newly appointed Cabinet Secretary for Sports.”
The world football governing body in February this year banned the Country due to Government interference with Football and asked the Kenyan government to repeal the decision to disband Football Kenya Federation and install a caretaker committee or the country will remain in the cold indefinitely.
