Manchester City will face Championship side Sheffield United in the FA Cup semi-finals, while Brighton will play Manchester United.

Pep Guardiola’s City progressed to the last four with an emphatic 6-0 win over Burnley on Saturday.

City's striker Erling Haaland made headlines once again as he scored his second hat-trick in five days in the win over the Clarets.

Sheffield United beat Blackburn 3-2 on Sunday to seal their fate against Manchester City meaning Loan players Tommy Doyle and Jamie McAtee will not be permitted to play against the six-time competition winners.

Taking matters to their own hands, Brighton ended League Two Grimsby's dream run to the last eight with a fashionable 5-0 win at the Amex Stadium.

Deniz Undav opened the score line inside six minutes and 18-year-old Ferguson had a stand-out afternoon, scoring two before Solly March nodded in the fourth and Kaoru Mitoma scored the fifth.

Brighton’s trip to the semi-finals will be their third and leaves them in contention to reach their first trophy race since 1983.

In the last quarter-final match, Manchester United came from behind to beat Fulham 3-1 at Old Trafford.

Bruno Fernandez scored twice and Marcel Sabitzer was on target to cancel out Mitrovic’s opener early in the second half.

Both semi-finals will take place at Wembley Stadium across the weekend of 22-23 April.
