Ena Coach Bus Accident Claims Two Lives Along Mai Mahiu-Narok Highway

A somber cloud hangs over the Mai Mahiu-Narok highway after a devastating road accident last night claimed the lives of a woman and a minor. The incident involved an ENA Coach bus, which was hit from behind by a trailer with suspected brake failure.
In a statement, the ENA coach confirmed the crash occurred at approximately 11 p.m. as the bus, carrying 47 passengers and three crew members, was en route from Nairobi to Kehancha. The company stated the collision caused the bus to veer off the road and overturn.
“The bus was descending the escarpment near the historical Catholic church when a truck lost its brakes, hit two vehicles ahead, and then rammed into the bus from behind. The impact caused the bus to veer off the road and overturn,” ENA Coach CEO Richard Mogire said.
Following the accident, most of the injured passengers were taken to nearby hospitals. The company has since reported that the majority of those who were hospitalized have been treated and discharged.
