Cunha Sidelined With Hamstring Injury After United Move

Manchester United forward Matheus Cunha will spend up to a month on the sidelines after suffering a hamstring injury in last weekend’s 3–2 win over Burnley. The Brazilian, who joined United from Wolverhampton Wanderers in June for £62.5 million, was forced off in the first half, sparking fears of a lengthy absence.
Medical scans have since confirmed that the 26-year-old sustained a grade-one hamstring strain, ruling him out for at least three weeks. The injury also sees him miss Brazil’s upcoming international fixtures, a setback after being included in the national team’s plans.
Cunha’s absence is a blow for new manager Ruben Amorim, who has leaned on the forward’s pace and creativity as United look to bounce back from a difficult season. The club hopes to have him back in action before the end of September, with crucial fixtures against Manchester City and Chelsea looming after the international break.
