Chelsea President Boehly Denies Fake Sancho Quotes

Chelsea president Todd Boehly has dismissed reports from Italian outlet La Repubblica that falsely attributed sensational remarks to him about winger Jadon Sancho.
The publication had claimed Boehly accused Sancho of missing training sessions, skipping matches, sleeping during the day and prioritising trips to Los Angeles over his football career. However, reliable sources including transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the Chelsea chief never gave such an interview, labelling the comments as fabricated.
Sancho spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Chelsea from Manchester United, registering 5 goals and 10 assists in over 40 appearances. Despite his contribution, Chelsea opted against a permanent transfer and instead paid a £5 million penalty clause, after failing to agree personal terms with the player.
The 24-year-old England international has since joined Aston Villa, putting an end to speculation over his Chelsea future, while the club distances itself from false reports linking his exit to disciplinary issues.
