Chelsea have pulled the plug on Nicolas Jackson’s proposed loan transfer to Bayern Munich following an injury setback to Liam Delap.
The 24-year-old striker had already travelled to Germany to finalise the deal, but The Athletic reports that Chelsea requested his immediate return to London. Bayern had agreed terms for a season-long loan, with an option to buy, but the plan has now been scrapped.
Jackson’s availability has become crucial for Mauricio Pochettino after Delap sustained an injury, leaving the Blues short of attacking options. The Senegal international will now remain at Stamford Bridge and continue to feature in Chelsea’s forward line as the club reassesses its squad depth ahead of the transfer deadline.
