Arsenal have been handed a major boost as William Saliba has returned to full training ahead of this weekend’s Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest.

Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed the development, saying: “William trained today, so we have a decision to make whether we play him or not.”

The French defender had been sidelined with an ankle problem picked up against Liverpool, sparking fears of a longer absence. His return comes at a crucial time, with Arsenal looking to bounce back strongly and maintain momentum in the title race.

While Saliba’s involvement in the starting lineup remains uncertain, his presence in training will be a huge relief for supporters. Arteta will make a late call on whether to risk him from the start or ease him back gradually.

Elsewhere, Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus are still working on their recoveries, leaving Arsenal with mixed news on the injury front.

If Saliba is cleared to play, his return could significantly strengthen Arsenal’s defensive stability as they head into a busy run of fixtures.
