The BetPower Company officially handed over the Kihumbuini Stadium in Kangemi Westlands back to society today, as part of the Cooperate Social Responsibility (CSR).
According to the Marketing Director, Simon Mwangi, he said that this initiative was to ensure that there is talent growth among the talented footballers in the community, from the youth, public schools, and secondary schools.
Further, he noted that this renovation was among the projects of CSR Campaigns where they seek to construct and rehabilitate facilities that can benefit society as well as sponsor and nurture talents.
Additionally, the Westlands Member of Parliament, Honorable Timothy Wanyonyi, who graced the handing over encouraged the youth to shun away from drugs and alcoholism and instead look for alternatives like indulging in tournaments for a better tomorrow.
“Sports are one of the most paying professions in the world right now. I would like you guys to be like Wanyama, Mariga, or even Oliech. We have seen Kahata play on this ground and he is at the high levels now. We want to give guys hope. Without hope comes desperation and a desperate person is a dangerous person. With this stadium, young people will have a place to showcase their talent and move away from drugs and alcohol, tournaments will be held here and no more going to Kasarani,” said in Wanyonyi.
BetPawa is a betting company that not only supports betting but also helps society rehabilitate and repair damaged community property.
