Bandari Sack Coach Ken Odhiambo, John Baraza Takes Over On Interim Basis

Bandari FC have dismissed head coach Ken Odhiambo following a poor start to the 2025/26 FKF Premier League season. The Dockers, who have struggled to pick up results in recent weeks, confirmed that assistant coach John Baraza, a former Harambee Stars striker, will step in on an interim basis.
Baraza’s appointment marks a return to the helm for the ex-Sofapaka tactician, who previously enjoyed success as a player and has been part of Bandari’s technical bench. The club’s management said the changes were necessary to revive the team’s form and restore confidence within the squad.
The sacking comes just days after Bandari suffered defeat to Shabana FC, a result that intensified pressure on Odhiambo. Shabana’s narrow win was widely celebrated by their supporters, with some dubbing the moment “Shabana Neyemo” as the Kisii-based side boosted their fight to climb up the standings.
Bandari’s next challenge will be a clash against Tusker FC this Sunday, a test that will mark Baraza’s first assignment in charge. Tusker, perennial title contenders, are pushing to maintain momentum at the top of the table.
The coastal outfit will be banking on the interim change to inspire a turnaround, as the league season continues to heat up.
