Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has offered a series of injury updates as the team prepares for their Premier League meeting with Chelsea. He confirmed that Leandro Trossard will undergo a final assessment after picking up a minor issue. “Leo [Trossard], there is another test today. We have to see how he’s feeling. It doesn’t look much. There is a potential chance [he could be available for Chelsea],” Arteta said, indicating the Belgian could still make the squad.

Arteta also revealed that both Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyökeres remain doubtful, with the club waiting for further developments. “Yeah, we have another day tomorrow. So let's see how it goes,” he noted, suggesting decisions on their involvement will be made closer to matchday. Their situations add to Arsenal’s growing list of players requiring late fitness checks.

On defender Gabriel Magalhães, Arteta stated that the club is still awaiting scan results to determine the extent of his injury. “Not yet. We have to wait for that scan a little bit longer to be more precise in terms of the timings,” he explained. Despite the uncertainty, he expressed optimism about the Brazilian’s recovery, adding that Gabriel’s mentality could accelerate his return. Asked whether he will be back before year-end, Arteta responded: “I don't know. We'll have to wait and see.”

Arteta further confirmed that Arsenal recently held a behind-closed-doors friendly to keep players active during the break. “Yeah it did happen, Gabi Jesus participated, Ethan as well, as he wanted some minutes. We took that opportunity,” he said. The updates were shared in reports by journalist Tom Canton.
