Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has stressed his side will go “full gas from the beginning” in their upcoming Premier League clash against Wolves. “From our side we're going to go full gas from the beginning and we know what to do,” he said, highlighting the importance of starting strongly.

On the challenge posed by Wolves, Arteta added: “They’re fighting against results. I know the manager really well and how he's gonna push and get the players ready to do that so, from our side, we're going to go full gas from the beginning because we know what we have to do.” He acknowledged the need for Arsenal to maintain focus against a motivated opponent.

Discussing the title race, Arteta said: “At the end you're going to have to have over 90 points probably to win it, so that means win a lot of football matches and tomorrow we have three that we have to earn.” He emphasized the need for consistency and maximum points in every match.

On the form table, Arteta said: "Hopefully tomorrow we will change and in the last one we will be the best, that's the only thing we can do." He also stressed avoiding complacency by reacting to challenges, adding: "Showing them the team that they are, the game they had against Villa. A team that is in that position has to react, has to show their teeth."

Reflecting on recent results, Arteta said: “After any defeat, you want to put it right straight away, and we certainly did that and put ourselves in a great position in the Champions League. Now it's about Wolves focusing back on the Premier League, and after what happened and the result that we had against Villa, obviously it's a massive opportunity for us again to to win the game and put ourselves in a great position.” On transfer speculation, he added: “I don’t consider that, especially with the situation we have right now. I think Gabby has a lot to offer to the team - and he has proven that straight away, in the first minutes that he was available to play.”

Arteta also spoke about player development, saying: "I think the two things have to merge. I think we have to put the player in the best possible condition to explode and fulfil his potential. And there are certain things that within the role, in the manner that we play, has to be fulfilled. And that's a combination of both. And then it's not only that. I think more important is the connections and the players around him at the end. Those interactions, that understanding, how it develops. And before the injury, I think he was in a great place. I think it took him a while at the beginning because, as you said, it's a different league, different demands. He had no pre-season. And now he's starting to get, again, some momentum. And the goals will come, and we're going to be very pleased with him." On his own role, he added: "I feel privileged to be where I am and I keep going. I do enjoy the job a lot, because of the people around us and how we live together. Winning a lot helps because it's a different profession when you win or lose."
