Arsenal are reportedly preparing a €45 million offer to sign highly rated Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi in the January transfer window. The 18-year-old has emerged as one of Europe’s most sought-after young talents, with several top clubs monitoring his rapid rise in Ligue 1. Arsenal are believed to view Bouaddi as a long-term investment who can strengthen the squad’s depth and offer versatility in midfield.

Bouaddi’s performances this season have caught the attention of scouts across Europe, with his composure, athleticism and ability to dictate play drawing comparisons to elite modern midfielders. Lille are expected to demand a significant fee, given the player’s age and potential, and Arsenal’s reported €45 million proposal would reflect their determination to secure his signature ahead of rival clubs.

Interest in Bouaddi has intensified in recent weeks, with Premier League competitors also said to be tracking the French teenager. Arsenal, however, are pushing to reinforce their midfield options amid concerns over squad depth and injuries. The club’s recruitment team has been active in identifying young, high-ceiling profiles, and Bouaddi fits the mould of the type of player Mikel Arteta has prioritised.

Despite the growing speculation, Lille have not publicly indicated a willingness to sell in January, meaning negotiations could prove complicated. Arsenal remain alert to opportunities in the market, and while no agreement has been reached, the club’s readiness to table a substantial offer signals their intent to strengthen during the mid-season window.
