Arsenal continued their fine form in Europe with a commanding 3–0 away win over Slavia Prague on Tuesday night. The Gunners controlled the game from start to finish, sealing all three points to remain top of their group with a perfect record.
Bukayo Saka opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, converting a penalty after Gabriel was brought down in the box. Arsenal doubled their lead just after the break when Mikel Merino struck in the 46th minute, capitalizing on sustained pressure from the visitors.
Mikel Merino then added the third in the 68th minute, finishing off a slick team move assisted by Merino to put the result beyond doubt. Slavia Prague thought they had a late lifeline with a penalty in the 86th minute, but the decision was overturned after VAR review.
The Czech side struggled to break through Arsenal’s disciplined defense, with Lukas Provod earning their highest rating for his work rate despite the defeat. Arsenal’s Mikel Merino was named Man of the Match with an 8.7 rating, having scored and assisted in a standout display.
The result keeps Arsenal top of the table with 12 points from four matches, while Slavia Prague remain bottom on two points, facing a difficult path to qualification.
