Apple AirPods Hearing Aid
"AirPods Pro 2 now comes with a groundbreaking over-the-counter Hearing Aid feature," this was the groundbreaking statement made by Apple on the launch of their new updated version of AirPods Pro. In an Apple event dubbed "It's Glowtime" broadcasted on 9th September on Apple's YouTube channel, the announcement came as a surprise to many.
the ergonomic beautifully crafted device will be perfect for people with mild to moderate hearing loss. With a personalized hearing profile from the Hearing Test, AirPods Pro will work like a clinical-grade hearing aid. Once you’ve got it set up, it’ll automatically adjust to the sounds around you in real-time, making conversations clearer and keeping you connected to your surroundings. Plus, that custom profile also enhances music, movies, games, and calls across all your devices without you having to change any settings.
What’s exciting is that this software-based Hearing Aid feature lets you tweak your experience anytime, making hearing support more accessible and affordable. You can also use an audiogram from a professional to set it up. Both the Hearing Test and Hearing Aid features are backed by solid science and have been rigorously tested.
Apple is expected to get marketing approval from health authorities worldwide and will be available this fall in over 100 countries, including the U.S., Germany, and Japan.
It always gives great joy to the PWD community when companies create assistive features in their technologies.
