TRANSFERS: Liverpool Launch Approach for Alexander Isak in Potential Record Deal

Liverpool have made a formal club-to-club approach to Newcastle United for star striker Alexander Isak, signalling serious intent in the summer transfer market.
The Merseyside club have informed Newcastle of their willingness to submit a £120 million offer, which would mark a club-record transfer fee if the move is greenlit. The proposal, however, hinges entirely on Newcastle's stance.
Newcastle are reluctant to part ways with the Swedish forward, who has become central to their project. Sources indicate the club is instead preparing to offer Isak a new contract to secure his long-term future at St. James’ Park.
Now, the ball is in Newcastle's court as Liverpool await a signal on whether the door is open to negotiate.
