Moving to education, the President officially opened a new workshops block at PC Kinyanjui Technical Training Institute, praising technical and vocational education as vital for national development and human capital growth.
Ruto announced the government’s plan to construct hostels for 580 students at the institute, costing KSh250 million in the first phase, to improve access for trainees from across Nairobi.
In Dagoretti North, the President commissioned a 20-classroom tuition block at Kawangware Comprehensive School and opened a new block at Kawangware Primary School, highlighting the improved learning environment compared to the previous year.
He emphasized that the government will continue hiring more teachers and expanding learning facilities to ensure children have access to quality education and equal opportunities for academic success.
The tour also included a visit to the Riruta Modern Market in Dagoretti South, where Ruto was briefed on construction progress and promised to commission the market in May 2026, providing traders with safer and improved working conditions.
Speaking to residents and traders at Riruta and Kawangware, the President reiterated the administration’s commitment to job creation, urban infrastructure, and equitable development in Nairobi’s suburban areas.
Ruto concluded the tour by stressing the importance of collaboration between the National Government and Nairobi County in delivering visible, impactful projects that transform the quality of life for residents while promoting economic growth and social development.
