Tijjani Reijnders has offered his thoughts on the difference between playing in the Premier League and Serie A, stressing that the English top flight demands more physically. The Dutch midfielder admitted that the tempo is faster and the duels are more challenging compared to what he experienced in Italy.
“It’s a bit more physical, a bit faster, quicker action, duels like those you see in the Premier League are sometimes a different story,” Reijnders noted, reflecting on the sharp contrasts between the two leagues. He believes the intensity of the English game pushes players to adapt quickly in order to thrive.
The 25-year-old pointed out that Serie A is largely built on tactical discipline and structured approaches, while the Premier League emphasizes strength, speed and raw power. For Reijnders, the shift means facing a new set of challenges but also gaining an opportunity to develop his versatility as a midfielder.
Despite the adjustment, the Dutchman remains positive about his adaptation process. He described the physical battles as “a great thing” that will help him grow further, adding that proving himself in such an environment motivates him to raise his level in every match.
