Nakuru Mystery Killings
27 Suspects connected to the Nakuru county armed robberies have been arrested.
According to the Nakuru Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), 5 suspects were arrested in the first police operation while 22 were arrested in the second operation.
Weapons recovered from the gangs include machetes, knives, pieces of wood, metal rods, and swords, which they have used to carry out robberies.
The DCI further revealed that they recovered SIM cards and identification documents belonging to victims of robbery incidents.
The first five suspects were detained during an operation in Jasho area of Nakuru sub-county by the police stationed at the Rhonda police station.
The five include; Moses Njoe, 21, Thomas Nguruna, 19, Evans Napati, 21, Sammy Sunguya, 23, and Emmanuel Tein, 20.
The remaining 22 suspects aged 20-30 years, were arrested in a second operation carried out in the Mawanga area.
The police have issued an order for the rest of the gang members to surrender before they launch another operation.
