Atalanta midfielder Ederson is set for Manchester United move
Manchester United have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Atalanta for the signing of Brazilian midfielder Ederson in a deal worth around €45 million.
Reports from Italy and England indicate that negotiations between the two clubs accelerated over the last few days, with both sides now close to finalizing the structure of the agreement ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 26-year-old midfielder has emerged as one of United’s priority targets as the club prepares for a major squad rebuild following a disappointing campaign. Club officials are believed to view Ederson as an ideal long-term addition to strengthen the midfield department.
Sources close to the negotiations claim personal terms are no longer expected to be an issue, with the player already open to signing a long-term contract at Old Trafford that could run until 2031.
Ederson has developed into one of the most highly rated midfielders in Serie A since joining Atalanta from Salernitana in 2022. His energetic style, defensive work rate and ability to carry the ball forward have attracted attention from several top European clubs.
