Loftus-Cheek recalled to England squad
Ruben Loftus-Cheek has earned a surprise call-up to the England squad for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The 29-year-old AC Milan midfielder, who last featured for the Three Lions back in 2018, has been named in the squad for fixtures against Andorra and Serbia.
Head coach Thomas Tuchel, who previously worked with Loftus-Cheek during their time together at Chelsea, has turned to the experienced midfielder to bolster England’s options.
The recall marks a fresh opportunity for Loftus-Cheek to re-establish himself on the international stage after several years away from the national team setup.
