Liverpool produced a breathtaking finish to defeat Newcastle United 3-2 in a Premier League thriller on Monday night.

The visitors took the lead in the 35th minute when Cody Gakpo fired home after a clever pass from Ryan Gravenberch. Just seconds after the restart, Hugo Ekitike doubled the advantage, punishing Newcastle’s defensive lapse. Bruno Guimarães pulled one back in the 57th minute before substitute William Osula leveled the game at 2-2 in the 88th minute, sending the home crowd into wild celebrations.

However, the drama was far from over. Deep into stoppage time, Mohamed Salah proved decisive once again. The Egyptian striker struck twice in quick succession — first from Rio Ngumoha’s assist in the 90+10 minute and then from Wataru Endo’s pass in the 90+12 — crushing Newcastle’s hopes and sealing all three points for the Reds.

Liverpool’s teenage forward Rio Ngumoha, who set up Salah’s first goal, was named Player of the Match for his impact off the bench. The result cements Liverpool’s title credentials while leaving Newcastle heartbroken after a spirited display.
