Juventus and Borussia Dortmund produced a Champions League classic in Turin on Tuesday night, playing out a dramatic 4-4 draw in their Group Stage opener.

The visitors struck first in the 52nd minute when Karim Adeyemi fired Dortmund ahead after being set up by Serhou Guirassy. Juventus responded through Kenan Yildiz, who equalized in the 63rd minute. Just four minutes later, Dušan Vlahović gave the Italians a 2-1 lead, capitalizing on Yildiz’s assist.

However, Dortmund turned the game on its head within 15 minutes. Felix Nmecha leveled in the 65th minute, Yan Couto made it 3-2 in the 74th, and Ramy Bensebaini converted a penalty in the 86th minute to seemingly put the Germans out of sight at 4-2.

But the drama was far from over. Vlahović struck again in stoppage time (90’+4) to reduce the deficit, before substitute Lloyd Kelly rescued Juventus with a last-gasp equalizer at 90’+6, sparking wild celebrations at the Allianz Stadium.

Vlahović, who scored twice and assisted one, was named Player of the Match with a standout rating of 9.6. Yildiz also impressed, while Felix Nmecha and Adeyemi were Dortmund’s best performers.

The result leaves both sides sharing the points after one of the most entertaining opening-round fixtures of this season’s Champions League.
