Gor Mahia were handed a shock 4–1 defeat by APS Bomet in a Kenya Premier League Round 3 clash played on 25 November 2025. The hosts got off to a perfect start when G. Amonoo scored in the 5th minute, but their early advantage was short-lived as Bomet fought back strongly.
Hansel Ochieng levelled from the penalty spot in the 39th minute before firing in a second goal just four minutes later to put Bomet ahead at halftime. He went on to complete his hat-trick in the 76th minute, piling pressure on the home side, who struggled to regain control of the match.
Rodgers Kipkemoi added a fourth goal in the 86th minute to seal an emphatic victory for APS Bomet, stunning a Gor Mahia side that entered the contest as heavy favourites. The defeat marks one of Gor Mahia’s heaviest losses in recent times, especially given their dominant form coming into the match.
Despite the setback, Gor Mahia remain top of the league standings with 19 points. APS Bomet, meanwhile, continue to battle at the opposite end of the table, sitting 17th out of 18 teams with just 8 points, making the victory a major boost in their relegation fight.
