CONFIRMED: Villarreal Agree Deal to Sign Thomas Partey as Free Agent from Arsenal

Villarreal have reached a full agreement to sign Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey on a free transfer following the expiry of his Arsenal contract. The 31-year-old is set to join the Spanish side after agreeing personal terms, with the deal expected to be finalized pending formalities.
Partey, who recently left Arsenal after four years, is currently facing serious legal proceedings in the UK. He has been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault. The court has granted him conditional bail as investigations continue.
His legal team, led by lawyer Wiltshire, maintains his innocence, stating that Partey “denies all the charges” and looks forward to “the opportunity to finally clear his name.” Villarreal have not commented publicly on the ongoing case.
