Federico Chiesa has raised uncertainty over his future at Liverpool, suggesting he could consider leaving the club if he does not secure regular playing time in the Premier League. The Italian forward, who has struggled to establish himself as a consistent starter since arriving at Anfield, says continuity on the pitch will be key in deciding his next move as he evaluates his long-term career options.

The forward has endured a difficult first campaign in England, finding himself on the fringes of the squad due to intense competition for attacking positions and tactical decisions within the team. His limited involvement has raised questions about his role going forward, especially as Liverpool continue to evolve their attacking structure under new leadership.

Chiesa was candid about his need for regular football, insisting that a lack of consistent minutes could force him to consider alternatives away from the club. He made clear that playing time is central to maintaining his performance levels and staying competitive at the highest stage of the game.

“I want to play regularly, if I don't find continuity in Premier League I have to look ELSEWHERE,” he said, underlining his willingness to reassess his future if his situation does not improve.

He also opened up about his struggles during his debut season at Liverpool, describing it as a period where he rarely featured in matches, making it difficult for him to build rhythm or momentum in his performances.

“The first year of Liverpool I practically didn't play… I'm going to pre season tour in the USA, then I'll talk to the club and the new coach Iraola and we'll see,” he added, pointing to upcoming discussions that could shape what comes next.

Liverpool are currently preparing for their pre-season schedule, with squad evaluation expected to be a key focus as the club assesses player roles and future planning. The upcoming tour is seen as an important stage for fringe and rotational players to prove their worth.

The arrival of a new coaching structure under Andoni Iraola is expected to influence tactical decisions and attacking rotations, potentially opening the door for players like Chiesa to re-establish themselves within the squad setup.

Despite his frustrations, Chiesa remains part of Liverpool’s immediate plans heading into pre-season, where he is expected to be given opportunities to showcase his fitness and ability in a competitive environment.

However, his long-term future at the club remains unresolved, with both player and management expected to hold discussions after the pre-season tour to determine whether a renewed role can be established or a departure becomes the most viable option.
