Moisés Caicedo opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 14th minute after being set up by Malo Gusto, giving the hosts an early lead. Liverpool came back stronger in the second half, with Cody Gakpo equalizing in the 63rd minute following a neat assist from Alexander Isak.
Just as the match looked set to end in a draw, substitute Estêvão produced a moment of brilliance in the dying minutes, converting a Marc Cucurella cross to restore Chelsea’s lead deep into added time.
The win lifts Chelsea higher up the Premier League standings, while Liverpool were left frustrated after failing to capitalize on their second-half dominance.
