BREAKING: Manchester United approach Aston villa for Ollie Watkins

Manchester United have officially submitted an approach to Aston Villa for England striker Ollie Watkins, who has now become the club’s top priority in attack. This follows direct backing from new head coach Rúben Amorim, who is said to be pushing for a proven Premier League goalscorer to lead his line.
Watkins, who had a stellar 2024/25 campaign with Villa, is valued at around £60 million in a total package by the Midlands club. Sources close to Villa Park suggest talks are already underway, with the next few hours and days set to be decisive in determining whether a deal can be agreed.
This pursuit comes on the heels of United already securing Matheus Cunha from Wolves and Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford—signaling a serious rebuild of their attacking options. If successful, Watkins would be the third major addition to Amorim’s new-look frontline.
